Founder of Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin, Alhaji (Dr) Abdur-Raheem Oladimeji, has congratulated the Olofa of Offa, HRM Oba Mufutau Mohammed Gbadamosi Oloyede Okikiola, Ajagungbade I, Esuwoye II, on his 16th coronation anniversary on the throne of his forebears.
Oladimeji, who is the Jagunmolu of Igbomina land, Arogundade of Lagos and Baba Oba of Offa, said this in his congratulatory message on the installation anniversary of the frontline monarch, a copy of which was extended to Wind Gate News in Ilorin on Saturday.
The varsity proprietor noted that Offa and its environs had witnessed appreciable growth and development within the period Oba Gbadamosi has led the ancient town, describing him as a pacesetter.
He explained that the first class traditional ruler, prior to his ascension to the stool, made himself a rallying point for the people of Offa with his personal intervention on the developmental activities of the town.
Oladimeji also recalled the employment opportunities Olofa created with his firm upon his installation as the custodian of customs and tradition of the community, adding that the monarch, had through his humane disposition and personality, endeared himself to the hearts of the people.
The university founder added that Oba Gbadamosi is also at the forefront of mobilizing his sons and daughters across the globe for self-help projects and as well as for safety and security of the community.
Describing the last 16th year as historic in the annals of the ancient city, Oladimeji prayed to the Almighty Allah to grant Olofa of Offa sound health and longevity of life to be able to do more for the people of Offa.
“I take this moment to congratulate the Olofa of Offa, Oba Mufutau Mohammed Gbadamosi Oloyede Okikiola, Ajagungbade I, Esuwoye II, on his 16th year installation anniversary as traditional ruler of the ancient town of Offa.
“It is indeed a glorious time for the people of Offa and Ibolo Land that the last 16 years had brought unprecedented development to the community, especially in the areas of self-help and community funded projects as a result of personal mobilization effort of Olofa of Offa,” his congratulatory message partly read
