There was uneasy calm in the Edo State House of Assembly today (Monday) following the resignation of the Speaker, Blessing Agbebaku.
It was learnt that embattled speaker might have been thrown in towel after an intelligence report that his impeachment from office was imminent.
Wind Gate News gathered that a number of members of the House had set machinery in motion to sack Agbebaku from office.
The media assistant to the speaker, Ivy Ebojele, confirmed the resignation of his principal when contacted.
He, however, promised to provide more details later.
