Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State is currently in Mecca, Saudi Arabia for Umrah also known as Lesser Hajj.
AbdulRazaq was sighted earlier today (Friday) at the holy Ka’aba with other pilgrims.
He was seen clad in white apparel, which apparently suggests that he is undergoing lesser hajj in the holy land.
It was learnt that AbdulRazaq’s lesser hajj trip was not unconnected with spiritual rejuvenation and to seek divine intervention for continued peace and stability in the state.
His presence in Saudi Arabia came barely 24hours after the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman, Kwara State Council of Chiefs, Dr Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, announced a date to officially turban him as Sardauna of Ilorin Emirate.
The foremost monarch, had in a statement issued through his Personal Assistant, Dr Abdulraheem Muritala, said Governor AbdulRazaq would be turbaned on 15th September, 2026 at his palace in Ilorin.
