The Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ola Olukoyede, has said a number of Imams and pastors have been convicted after being found guilty of fraud.
He explained that the anti-graft agency also has in its facility some religious leaders, who are answering questions on corruption allegations hanging on their neck.
Olukoyede spoke at the Jerry Eze Foundation business grant award ceremony on Wednesday.
At the event, he spoke about corruption within religious institutions and the importance of personal integrity.
He noted that both Christian and Islamic institutions are not immune to corruption, adding that some pastors, bishops and imams have faced prosecution and conviction.
