Ex-TV GM, Michaels obtains APC forms for Kwara Southern Senatorial seat

As preparations heighten for primary elections, the former General Manager of the Kwara State Television Authority (Kwara TV), Olatunde Michaels Oyeyiola, has obtained expression of interest and nomination forms of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to contest Kwara South Senatorial District ticket of the party.
He picked up the forms in Abuja.
With the obtainment of the forms, Michaels has officially entered into the contest for the senatorial seat for the forthcoming general elections scheduled for January and February, 2027.
Michaels, reputed for turning around the glory of the state owned television outfit during his stint in office, had signalled his intention to vie for the National Assembly seat in a series of consultations with party leaders and members within the senatorial district.
In a statement issued, the media personality said he is in the race to provide visionary and people-oriented leadership for the people of Kwara State, particularly in the Kwara South axis.
Michaels, who recalled his tenure as Kwara TV General Manager, noted that he led reforms that repositioned the station into a more competitive and vibrant broadcast outfit, improving operational efficiency and audience engagement.
He pledged to focus on youth empowerment, infrastructure, education, and job creation if elected, stressing his commitment to translating the district’s potential into measurable development.
