Gunmen suspected to be bandits have invaded a Mobile Police Force camp in tenebo village, Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State.
The assailants visited an attack on the camp in the early hours of today (Saturday).
It was learnt that the incident resulted in fatality on the part of mobile police force facility in the area.
Wind Gate News gathered that the attack was carried out in the night.
Spokesperson of the state police command, Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi, confirmed the attack in a statement issued in Ilorin on Saturday morning.
“I regret to confirm that an attack on the PMF Camp occurred in the early hours of today (Saturday). I will provide more accurate and detailed information shortly,” she said.
Recall that Kaiama came under banditry attacks in recent times with killings and abduction of locals in exchange for ransom.
Woro and Nuku villages in Kaiama local government area had suffered attacks in the hands of the unidentified men of the underworld in their sustained terror campaign on local communities.
