Kwara: AbdulRazaq removes aides, shops for replacement

Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State has relieved his aides of their appointments.
He said the decision to remove the affected officers was meant to extend opportunities to more party members and inject fresh energy into his administration.
AbdulRazaq listed those affected in the sacking as his Deputy Chief of Staff; and  Principal Private Secretary.
Others included Special Advisers, Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, and Special Assistants.
The Deputy Chief Press Secretary,
Government House, Ilorin, AbdulRafiu Agboola, made this known in a statement issued in Ilorin on Monday.
The statement was titled “Kwara effects minor cabinet reshuffle as Gov Abdulrazaq thanks affected appointees for selfless service.”
The Governor, in the statement, directed the affected appointees to hand over government’s property in their custody to the Office of the Secretary to the State Government.
The statement said, “His Excellency expresses his gratitude to all the appointees for their priceless service to the state. He wishes them the best in their future endeavours.”
