The Dan Amanan Fune Emirate of Yobe State and Nwanne Ukwu Di Na Mba of Amaba-Ukwu Item in Abia State, Dr Ibrahim Mohammed Ajia, has said Hajia Afusat Kawu Agaka, step mother of Dan’Iya of Ilorin, Engr Suleiman Bolakale Kawu, lived a meaningful life with her devotion to family.
Ajia stated this when he paid a condolence visit to Bolakale Kawu, at his ancestral home, Agaka Area of Ilorin on Sunday.
Hajia Kawu Agaka, the matriach of the family, died on Saturday at the age of 87.
During the visit, Ajia urged the Dan’Iya to take solace in what he described as a fulfilled and impactful life the deceased lived.
He noted that the late Hajia Kawu Agaka left behind worthy legacies reflected in the unity and values her children and family members uphold.
“At 87, Mama lived a meaningful life devoted to family, faith and community. You should be consoled by the fact that she lived well and raised a responsible household that continues to benefit society,” Ajia said.
The Ilorin-born businessman and security expert offered prayers for the repose of the soul of the deceased and for strength for the family she left behind.
As part of the condolence, Ajia requested for a special prayer session led by the Imam of Agric Estate, Alhaji Ismaeel Olodomeji, seeking divine forgiveness for the departed and comfort for the bereaved family.
He also extended his sympathies to other members of the Kawu family, describing the late matriarch as a respected elder whose memory would remain cherished within and beyond the community.
Family members appreciated the visit, describing it as a demonstration of solidarity and respect for the deceased.
