The Federal Government is set to prosecute the former Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, over alleged wire-tapping of the conversation of the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, on telephone.
El-Rufai is to appear a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja for the claim, the government said, could compromise national security.
This is contained in a suit number FHC/ABJ/CR//99/2026, a copy of which Wind Gate News sighted on Monday.
This medium reports that the Kaduna former had admitted during a live television programme that the conversation of Ribadu was wire-tapped during which he allegedly gave an order for the Department of State Services to abduct him in preparation for the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Offences Related Commission (ICPC) to prosecute him.
