I’m more than prepared, says Senator Sadiq Umar
..declares for 2027 Kwara guber

The Senator representing Kwara North Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Senator Sadiq Suleiman Umar, on Monday night, announced his intention to run for 2027 governorship election in Kwara State.
Umar made this known when he featured on a programme monitored on Television Continental (TVC).
He is to contest for the race under the banner of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Wind Gate News reports that Senator Umar’s declaration came barely days after some chieftains of the ruling APC had declared their interest to vie for Kwara governorship seat.
The legislator, while making his intention known, noted that he is prepared to run, win and govern the state.
Senator Umar added that he is conversant with the dynamics of governance with his experiences at the national level.
He said, “Already, primary election has been scheduled in the country. So, for the records, I’m saying it here (on live television) that me, Senator Sadiq Suleiman Umar, I’m going to run for the governorship of Kwara State come 2027 on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
“What it takes? I’m more than prepared to run, to win and to govern, because I think, Alhamdulillah, I have been in government for over seven years at the National level, and I understand the dynamics of government.
“I have worked in a development sector. I understand what development, management is all about, and I can assure you, I will bring all of this to bear and I will be successful by the grace of God.”
