JUST IN: Finance Ministry staff mocks Wale Edun’s sack with obituary, casket

A viral video has surfaced online showing some workers allegedly of the Federal Ministry of Finance Headquarters, mocking the removal of the immediate past Minister of Finance, Wale Edun.
The aggrieved staff celebrated the exit of the Minister from the Federal Executive Council with a coffin and an obituary portrait.
In the less three minutes footage uploaded on Facebook page, some individuals, believed to be of the ministry, were seen writing messages on the portrait in what could be interpreted as condolences.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu announced the removal of Edun and in his place, elevated Taiwo Oyedele, formerly in charge of the state Finance, to a substantive Finance Minister.
The announcement was made via a memo from the office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume.
The Special Adviser, Media and Publicity to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Yomi Odunuga, issued a statement on Tuesday confirming the exit of Edun from office.
Wind Gate News could not immediately ascertain the reason the individuals were mocking the exit of the former Minister from office.
