Kwara North: Senator Sadiq seeks sustained security efforts after visiting survivors s of Kaiama massacre

The Senator representing Kwara North Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Sadiq Suleiman Umar, has called for sustained security efforts in Kwara North to curb escalation of violent attacks in the region.
Umar, who noted that the region has continued to experience insecurity, called on constituents to remain united, hopeful, and prayerful.
He stated this when he visited survivors of the recent attack on Woro Community, Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State m, who are currently receiving treatment at the Kwara State University Teaching Hospital, Ilorin.
Wind Gate News reports that the legislator was at the medical facility for his get well message to the survivors of that campaign of terror that left no fewer than 75 local Muslims dead.
He sympathized with victims suffering from gunshot wounds and other injuries, describing the attack as heartbreaking.
Sadiq prayed for their speedy recovery and reassured them of his continued support.
He, however, commended Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his swift action and directive to the State Emergency Management Agency to provide relief materials to the victims.
The Senator also applauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the deployment of security forces through Operation Savannah Shield to restore peace in the state and go after the non-state actors.
He reaffirmed his commitment to the people and prayed for lasting peace across the region and beyond.
