Oloro greets Muslims, urges them to internalize Eid-el-Adha’s core values

By Atinuke Alao
The Oloro of Oro and Paramount Ruler of Oro Kingdom in Irepodun Local Local Government Area of Kwara State, Oba Joel Olaniyi Oyatoye Titiloye Olufayo II, has called on Muslims to internalize the core values of Eid-el-Adha, emphasizing absolute faith, obedience, and selflessness, which Prophet Ibrahim (A.S.) demonstrated.
The monarch said this in a Eid-el-Adha’s message issued from his palace on Wednesday.
He extended his warmest felicitations to his subjects, Kwara State, and Nigerians at large as the Muslim Ummah across the globe today marked the celebration of Eid-el-Adha.
Oba Olufayo lauded the exceptional religious harmony existing within Oro Kingdom, describing it as a foundational pillar for the rapid communal growth and infrastructural development witnessed under his reign.
“As the father of all, it brings me immense joy to see our people united across religious lines.
“Eid-el-Adha is a reminder to extend hands of fellowship, support the less privileged within our lineages, and ensure that the blessings of the season touch every household,” the statement added.
Addressing the prevailing security challenges, the paramount ruler used the festive occasion to reinforce his newly launched grassroots security mandate, “Abo Ilu, Ojuse Gbogbo Wa Ni” (The security of our community is the responsibility of us all).
Oloro charged indigenes and visitors to celebrate with moderation and remain highly vigilant, urging residents to cooperate seamlessly with local security networks, traditionalists, and formal law enforcement agencies, stressing that actionable intelligence is vital to maintaining the absolute peace Kwara State is known for.
He offered fervent prayers for divine guidance, peace, and economic stability across Nigeria, specifically invoking blessings upon the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq; and the Chairman of the Kwara State Council of Chiefs, the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, praying that the spiritual merits of the season bring a definitive end to insecurity and usher in long-lasting clarity and prosperity for the nation.
