Re-election bid: APC concludes screening for KWHA member, Ogunniyi

The coast appears clear for a member representing Ojomu Balogun Constituency of Offa Local Government in the Kwara State House of Assembly, Hon. Seun Ogunniyi, to participate in the primary election of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for his second term bid in the hallowed chamber of the legislative arm of the state.
The APC’s Screening Committee concluded its screening for him on Monday in preparation for the shadow poll.
Ogunniyi, admirably referred to as Adato, chairs the House Committee on Health and Nutrition.
The lawmaker, who confirmed the conclusion of his screening in a terse statement sent to this medium, said he has endeared himself to the people of his constituency with his development-driven politics.
The Offa-born politician added that his quality performance in the House in the last three years had redefined representation for his constituents.
“Today Monday 11th May 2026, Ogbeni Seun Ogunniyi has successfully crossed another major milestone towards the actualization of his second term re-election bid with the conclusion of his screening at the APC State Party Secretariat, Ilorin.
“Ogbeni Ogunniyi popularly known as Adato is currently serving his first term tenure as the Honourable member representing Ojomu Balogun Constituency at the Kwara State House of Assembly. He is the Chairman House Committee on Health and Nutrition and the Deputy Chairman, House Committee on Education and Human Capital Development.
“Ogbeni Seun Ogunniyi’s legislative performance, quality representation and his development-driven politics over the last 3 years has endeared him to the heart of the generality of the people of Ojomu Balogun Constituency including party leaders, stakeholders, and members of the APC.
“Furthermore, on a no partisan basis, community leaders and constituents generally continue to express their acceptance of his leadership. Their loud and unequivocal voice of endorsements for his re-election bid is a resolute and determined call for continuity, consolidation, good representation and the general progress of Ojomu Balogun Constituency,” the lawmaker said.
