By Atinuke Alao
Mallam Saliu Mustapha, the Senator representing Kwara Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly, said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s governance style reflects resilience, vision, and a firm commitment to national development amid both domestic challenges and shifting global dynamics.
He commended the President’s leadership in nearly three years, asserting that his administration has driven transformative change across key sectors of the country’s economy.
Mustapha, who is the Turaki of Ilorin, said this on Sunday in his congratulatory message to Tinubu on his 74th Birthday Anniversary.
He described the President as a formidable pillar of Nigeria’s democracy and a leader whose influence continues to shape the nation’s political and economic trajectory.
Underscoring Nigeria’s growing international profile, the senator identified the Tinubu’s recent engagement in the United Kingdom at the instance of King Charles III as a defining diplomatic milestone.
“The visit not only reinforced historical ties but also positioned Nigeria as a credible partner in global trade and investment, unlocking commitments estimated at $1.51 billion and paving the way for job creation and economic expansion,” the legislator said.
At the national level, he pointed to key reforms under the administration’s “Renewed Hope Agenda,” including the unification of foreign exchange rates to enhance transparency, a steady rise in external reserves, and ongoing investments in critical infrastructure such as roads, rail networks, air and port modernization, arguing that these measures have improved macroeconomic stability and laid the groundwork for sustainable development.
The senator, who also praised social and economic initiatives of the President aimed at broadening opportunities for citizens, cited the establishment of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund as a significant step toward expanding access to higher education.
He noted that targeted interventions in agriculture, particularly through the National Agricultural Development Fund are strengthening food security and rural livelihoods.
Mustapha therefore prayed for continued wisdom, strength, and good health for President Tinubu as he steers the country through complex economic and political terrain toward long-term prosperity.
He urged Nigerians to remain supportive of the administration and to align with its vision for national renewal, stressing that collective effort and political stability are crucial to building a country that commands respect both at home and in the international community.
