Over 2000 civil servants in the employment of Kwara State government have been issued letters of promotion for 2024.
The Chairman of the State Civil Service Commission, Hajia Habibat Yusuf, made this known in a statement issued in Ilorin on Wednesday.
It would be recalled that eligible employees of the state government sat for promotion examination and interview prior to the issuance of the letters elevating them to the next rank in the civil service.
In the statement, the Press Secretary of the civil service commission, Munirat Oniye Oganija, quoted Hajia Yusuf to have commended Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for approving the issuance of 2024 promotion.
“Over 2000 civil servants sat for the year 2024 promotion examination and interview, out of which 98.87 percent passed”, she said.
Hajia Yusuf noted that the beneficiaries of the year 2024 promotion, who have been issued their letters, would begin to enjoy the financial benefits of the exercise in earnest.
She noted with delight that the state government has been very responsive to the welfare of its workers, adding that funds and logistics were readily provided for all Ministries, Departments and Agencies, which had significantly boost the productivity of the civil servants across all MDA’S.
The chairman of the commission enjoined the beneficiaries of the promotion and the civil servants at large to be proactive, dedicated, diligent, faithful, and loyal to the government.
